The Weary Warriors formed in 2021, are a free and friendly support group, that provides much needed emotional support for people in the local area, who are currently caring for loved ones who have been diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimers, which meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, at the Javea Golf Club, between 10.30-11.30.
With over 800,000 people suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia here in Spain, it is of vital importance to empower the family and professional caregivers with support and dementia care skills. Providing care that yields positive outcomes for both the person living with Alzheimer’s/dementia and the caregiver is very important and challenging.
